In January 2022, Gerdahallen will open the gates to its second gym at Campus Helsingborg.
This is a historic decision based on work we have put in for several years. That our second facility is located in Helsingborg is due both to the location we got and of course that Campus is part of Lund University. The fact that we are directly adjacent to the Campus makes it easy for both employees and students to train during breaks from work or study, says Rickard Benediktsson, CEO of Gerdahallen.
I am happy that Gerdahallen chooses to establish itself on Campus. The research shows that physical activity has a positive impact on both studies and work, so we view the establishment positively, says Charlotta Johnsson, Rector, Campus Helsingborg, Lund University.
The gym will be located in a 500 sqm large room in the Tretorn property, adjacent to Campus Helsingborg. The premises have been renovated and the gym will have modern training equipment, virtual spinning and free areas for group training in the gym and outdoors on Campus Helsingborg’s courtyard.
Physical activity is an important element in everyday life, especially in these times in the suites after Covid-19 when many have isolated themselves at home and exercise has suffered. With our new gym, we reach those who study in Helsingborg at the same time as we establish ourselves in the expansive district of Oceanhamnen. It is great fun and exciting to be able to offer a new and fresh gym, says Rickard Benediktsson.
Personal service and family atmosphere
The business must be characterized by the personal service that also characterizes Gerdahallen in Lund. The gym will therefore have a high staffing.

Gerdahallen is run as a foundation at Lund University and is aimed at students, employees at LU as well as private individuals and companies.
Gerdahallen in Lund is one of Sweden’s largest independent gyms. Gerdahallen offers over 200 group training sessions a week, a newly renovated gym of 1,500 sqm as well as tennis, physiotherapy, PT, massage, café and shop.
